PAT Testing Information
PAT
testing includes a thorough visual inspection
of the appliance to check for: Damage
to the flex A
series of PAT tests are then performed. Depending on the class of equipment,
they may include: Earth
continuity testing Our PAT testers follow a standardized testing procedure, designed to thoroughly test the
safety of all your portable appliances. Our procedure wholly conforms to the
code of practice laid out by the Institute of Electrical
Engineers (IEE) - the standards body responsible for PAT testing. As all portable appliances need
to be unplugged for testing, testing
can be carried out outside of normal working hours or on a weekend ensuring
there is no effect on staff productivity. Portable appliances are
discreetly labelled with the result of the test (pass or fail). Any remedial
action that can be taken during PAT testing
(repairing plugs/fuses etc) will be carried out at that time at no extra
cost. More complex faults or damage are reported to the business manager. As a final assurance for the
quality of our pat testing, all
contracts are underwritten with full public liability insurance, allowing you
to concentrate on your business objectives safe in the knowledge that your
working environment is in good condition. Please feel free to contact us
for more information on pat testing. Important Documents: Public Liability Page 1 Page 2 Please contact: A1 Electrical Tesing
